Call for Papers: Themed issue on the analysis of microplastics in the environment

You are invited to contribute to the upcoming Analytical Methods themed issue showcasing the latest discoveries and developments in the CEMS(Continuous Emission Monitoring System) analysis of microplastics in the environment.
Guest Edited by Professors Richard Thompson (Kings College London, UK), Fiona Regan (Dublin City University, Ireland) and Chelsea Rochman (University of California Davis, USA) this upcoming themed issue will highlight the most outstanding work in the analysis of microplastics in the environment, and also provide some insight into the newly emerging work in this important area of research.
Microplastics, small pieces of plastic litter, have been reported in marine habitats worldwide and are present in a range of diverse media (e.g., sediment, water, biota). Because microplastics have only recently been described, the methodology to extract, quantify and characterize the debris remains inconsistent. Increasingly, management agencies and academic scientists are calling for harmonization of methods so that data can be compared and/or synthesized across studies.
For your article to be considered for this themed issue we must receive your manuscript by August 26th 2016.
Communications, Full Papers and Review articles are welcomed, if you are interested in submitting an article for this themed issue please contact us to let us know.
